SMS specialist
Gilles Savary has worked in the AQS auditor team since March 2008. He is responsible for the development and delivery of our AQS training portfolio. His 22 years work experience ranges from aeronautical engineering on behalf of a major aircraft manufacturer to flight operations including training, management, as well as safety and quality for European airlines.
Gilles is fluent in English, French, German and Portuguese.

Cpt. Jochen Mickel
SMS Consultant and Trainer
Jochen Mickel became a member of the Aviation Quality Services SMS expert team at the end of 2009. His experience in flight operations, apart of active jet flying, includes hands on flight safety work in a major airline for more than 10 years. He participated in the development and implementation of all SMS components including safety risk management and safety assurance as well as safety promotion. His academic research covers Flight Data Monitoring, safety culture, and risk assessment.
Dr. Andreas Bruemmer, MASc
SMS Developer and Trainer
Andreas Bruemmer joined the SMS competence team in 2009 after his retirement from the German Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel supporting and developing the Safety Management System Training programme. He is recognised for 22 years of experience as a military fighter pilot and his subject matter expertise in flight operations, operational training and general management. Andreas is fluent in English and German and holds a master’s degree in aeronautical science and a doctoral degree in business administration.

Trainer
Bernhard Katzer joined the AQS auditor team in 2008. His experience in the aviation world includes 22 years of pilot and 10 years flight-safety, quality, flight data, and IT-project-management with international airlines. He is also a professional in IT and Business Administration and studied electrical engineering. Bernhard is fluent in English and German.
