Intern Quality Management

We are searching you as an intern for a periode of six month to support our Quality Manager and offer you an exclusive insight and training in aviation auditing.

As our Intern Quality Management you will support the Quality Manager in managing, organising and continuously developing and improving the internal Quality Management System of Aviation Quality Services. One of your prime tasks will be to perform and coordinate quality control on reports from our global IOSA programme with a special focus on the flight operations scope. This involves a high degree of interaction with our international customers, our intercultural aviation auditor team and the International Air Transport Association in Montreal (IATA).

During your internship at AQS you will gain an exclusive insight into the flight operations world outside of Lufthansa with more than 120 international air carriers around the world amongst our customers. In addition to the standard intern compensation you will be entitled to join a one-week Aviation Auditor Training course (value EUR 1,500).

Focus areas will be:

  • Organization and management of our quality assurance function in close co-operation with the Quality Manager
  • Organization and management of our quality control activities in close co-operation with the Quality Manager, our international airline customers and IATA
  • Be one of our contact persons to IATA’s IOSA Programme Office (IPO)
  • Liaise and cooperate with IATA and participate in management review meetings and quality performance review meetings
  • Support the Head of Audit Programme and ensure continuous performance improvement of our international and intercultural auditor team
  • Collect and prepare QM data and statistics


Qualification requirements:

  • Enrolment for the complete duration of internship
  • Academic process at least in the 3rd semester
  • Interest and experience in operational functions and scopes of the airline industry
  • Knowledge about safety management in airline operations (ATPL or similar)
  • Interest and ability to work with intercultural clients and organisations
  • Strong communication skills and high degree of customer orientation
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance desired
  • Positive attitude towards new challenges within our team and environment
