Adapt the new regulatory framework.
In response to October 2010 incidents and the risk of explosive devices being introduced in the supply chain, the EU Commission reviewed its aviation legislation to ensure a more secure transit of cargo and mail into the EU from non-EU countries. For this reason new regulations (EU) No 859/2011 and (EU) No 1082/2012 were adopted for the security of incoming air cargo and mail by the EU Commission. Therefore, every air carrier flying cargo and mail into the EU from non-EU countries has to ensure that certain standards for security are met prior to the loading of an aircraft bound for the EU and that they are designated as an “Air Cargo or Mail Carrier operating into the Union from a Third Country Airport” (ACC3).
From 1 July 2014, ACC3 designation will only be valid upon a successful EU Aviation Security Validation performed by an Independent Validator accredited by an EU Member State. Our Senior Security Instructor and approved ACC3 Validator uniquely combine an extensive background of security management with ACC3 insider knowledge and his experience as a renowned aviation lawyer.
